St. Vincent de Paul Conference

St. Mary's St. Vincent de Paul Conference was organized on November 25, 1958 by Rev. Edward J. Sullivan, then Pastor. The conference is a member of the International Society of St. Vincent de Paul first established in 1833 in Paris, France and now located in 135 countries throughout the world.

Our conference is organized to offer works of charity. Its Mission is to render assistance to the less fortunate in our parish community who are experiencing temporary and unforeseen needs. Such assistance may be provided in the form of food, clothing, furniture, rent, prescriptions, utility bills, home heating and emergency automotive repair.

Our Conference does not receive any parish funds, relying instead on the Poor Box donations located at the doors of the Church and the donations of many regular benefactors. The conference has three collection boxes behind the Rectory garage for donations of clean and usable men's, women's and children's clothing. Donations of clean and functional furniture can be picked up by the Society's trucks by appointment.

Our conference acknowledges, with extreme gratitude, those parishioners who have been regular and faithful benefactors, many anonymously. Your generosity makes this ministry possible.

Anyone seeking assistance should contact the Parish Office, 781-545-3335.
