1.  This is a friendly reminder that if you HAVE NOT filled out a current and updated CORI Form and a Volunteer Application, please stop by the Religious Ed Office or the Main Office to do so. All volunteers will also be given a copy of our Code of Ethics to read and keep.

2. The Archdiocese of Boston requires that all employees and volunteers to attend a required training entitled, Protecting God’s Children. This program for adults is a three-hour live awareness session instructing adults of the Church how to protect children by being continu- ously aware and vigilant regarding their surroundings. This awareness session makes trainees under- stand the signs of child sexual abuse, the methods and means by which offenders commit the abuse and the five empowerment steps one can use to prevent the abuse. St. Mary of the Nativity will be offering three training dates for our volunteers. These trainings will be held in the Parish Center (in the Great Hall) :

   •  Saturday, June 1st, 9:00am-12:00pm

   •  Monday, August 26th, 6:00pm-9:00pm

   •  Monday, September 9th , 6:00pm-9:00pm  

Please pick the one date that works best for you.
In order to attend this required training, you must:

•  Go to www.virtusonline.org
•  Register as a “First-TimeRegistrant.“
•  Select Boston, MA (Archdiocese)
•  You will then register and select the desired session taking place at St. Mary of the Nativity.
